Divorce Is Bad For The Environment?

The following excerpt comes from the December issue of the magazine The Week.

“Americans consume an extra $10.5 billion worth of energy and water each year as a result of the additional households created by divorce, a Michigan State University study found.”

I’ve never thought about it that way but I guess all of those newly single people have to go live somewhere.
